Focus on: Enlarged Mediterranean, Sub-Saharan Africa, South America (6 years working experience in Colombia).
About
I have a Ph.D. in Political Sciences from the University of Genoa, Italy. I have been Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre on Conflict, Development & Peacebuilding in Geneva under the supervision of Prof. Keith Krause, one of the most distinguished scholars in the field of International Relations and among the founders of Critical Security Studies; and Visiting Research Fellow at the GLOBALCODES research group, Barcelona, under the guidance of Prof. Oscar Mateos Martin, expert of peacebuilding and West Africa.
I am the author of several scientific articles published in top Italian and international journals (e.g. International Peacekeeping, Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding, Global Society). I am a member of Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca sulle Americhe (CIRAM) at the University of Genoa. Italian native speaker, fluent in English and Spanish, with basic knowledge of French.
Research
I am currently researching non-Western approaches to Conflict Management and Peacebuilding and the way they influence traditional Western-led strategies to (post)conflict scenarios.
